New Patient Welcome Gift!
A First Visit Of Fun, Smiles, and Gentle Care
We've designed our first-visit experience to be as comfortable and welcoming as possible. Here's exactly what you can expect:
Your child will be greeted by our friendly team who will take time to learn their name, favorite color, or toy. We'll give you both a tour of our kid-friendly treatment rooms, complete with TVs, stuffed animals, and cozy blankets.
Depending on your child's age and comfort level, we'll start with a "show and tell" approach, letting them touch and explore our “super cool” tools. Everything is explained in fun, child-friendly terms.
We'll conduct a thorough but gentle examination, always going at your child's pace. Parents receive practical guidance on brushing techniques, nutrition, and age-appropriate oral care habits.
Every visit ends with high-fives, stickers, and a celebration of your child's bravery. We'll discuss any findings and create a personalized care plan for your family.
Help your child feel excited and prepared with these parent-tested strategies

Read a dental-themed story the night before (we have great recommendations!)
Let them choose their favorite toy or comfort blanket to bring along
Pretend you’re at the dentist at home—let your child be the “dentist” and check your teeth, then switch roles to make the real visit feel friendly and familiar.

Schedule morning appointments when children are typically fresher and more cooperative
Bring snacks and water for after the visit (no sugary treats right before!)

We recommend bringing your child in by their first birthday or within six months after their first tooth appears.
Starting early helps us make dental visits feel natural and fun — not scary. It also allows us to track their development and give you tips for brushing, nutrition, and healthy habits right from the start.
That’s completely okay — many children do! Our team is trained in gentle, child-friendly care and we always move at your child’s pace. We take time to explain everything in fun, simple terms, and use comfort tools like cozy blankets, toys, or music.
If your child isn’t ready, we’ll stop, take a break, and try again another day — no pressure, ever. The goal is to make every visit feel positive.
It depends on your child’s age and comfort level. For infants and toddlers, the first visit is usually a “happy visit” — a gentle look and a chance to get used to the dental chair.
For older children who are comfortable, we may do a light cleaning and fluoride treatment. Either way, we focus on helping your child feel safe, proud, and excited to come back next time.
Most first visits last around 30 to 45 minutes, giving us plenty of time to go slow, build trust, and make sure your child has a fun, positive experience.
You’ll also have time to ask questions and get personalized advice for caring for your child’s teeth at home.
